Merriam-Webster.com defines “jaunt” as both “a usually short journey or excursion undertaken especially for pleasure” and “a tiring trip.” If that doesn’t sum up my life perfectly, I don’t know what does. My name is Jess René Davis. I am a wife, a new mom to an adorable baby, and a dog-mom to a spunky Jack Russell Terrier named Abby–and am someone who, as an adult, has more dreams about zombies than I care to admit (not even nightmares, just mundane dreams about life during the zombie apocalypse).
